I'm wanting to do a spell for prosperity - mostly for my household, but to include the country and global economics. I'm mostly a ktichen witch, I can't afford a lot of stuff, I am perfectly willing to buy some, and own several resins already (benzoin, copal, myrrh). I've only got one reference at hand. So - I'm asking for help. What would you all use? or what do you use? We have one person with a good job, but a small company and is getting too much time off; one who needs to get more an hour, and one out of work. I am looking for long term solutions as much as short term - although we need help with both. I don't want just money, or just bills paid - although obviously that would be part of it. I am looking to get the right jobs, and enough income in whatever forms so that we do not have to worry about bills, food, medicine and the rest of the basics.
Thanks

Re: Help - Prosperity magic
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 10:01 AMin Hoodoo, there is alot of herbs for money drawing, jobs and promotion getting, business success and customer drawing. There is one herb/spice that is listed in pretty much all of those. That be cinnamon. Another one is allspice(which is more for business) and nutmeg (which is more kind of a lucky, and often figures in gambling stuff). Sugar is good to sweeten your life, and drawing things as well. Salt can be worked for jobs and promotions.
The base standard for money drawing in candles are green candles, and the color green in general.
the herbs/spices I mentioned above can easily combined into a simple incense (it won't smell the best by itself, just a warning, and I would add benzoin resin to it, because benzoin is associated with turning luck around and money as well and it will improve the scent some).
Happy Spellcasting! -

Re: Help - Prosperity magic
Sat, December 20, 2008 - 8:24 PMI only know a basic one.
I perform every year the same, I make a dough, out of 5 grains, Wheat, Buckwheat.....what ever, a litle salt and sugar, some sage, some rosemary, some thyme, then some hazelnuts, some milk and 1 egg. this with some yeast set for some time, give it some butter, and then bake it. after baking cut into pieces, so that you can go to: a well or lake, a tree, a neighbour and your family, the grains will give prosperity, the salt cures illnesses, the sugar gives sweetnes for the year, the herbs protect from desease and harm.
This you can enhance with a ancient spell from finnland,
PIRUN RIIVATTU PURIJA
ET VERY MIUN VERELLÄ
ET LIHO MIUN LIHALLA
SIE SAHASELKÄ SIHISIJÄ
PITKÄHAMMAS PAHOLAINEN
MÄNE METSÄHÄN MÄELLE
PAKENE PAJUN VESOILLE
LUIKERRA KIVIEN KOLOHON
MUSTA MATO MÄÄ MULLAN ALLE
VIE VAIVA MÄNNESSÄS
KIPU KOVA KULKEISSAS
NOILLE TAPPOTANTERILLE
VAINOVAIVOILLE SIJOILLE
PUHISTA PUREMA PAHA
POISTA MYRKKY MYÖTÄMÖITEN
ELÄKÄ ENÄÄ EHÄTÄ
TULE NÄILLE NURKKILOILLE
RUMA ROIKALE LUIKERTELE
or in english:
Evil, stinging devil's minion,
never shall my blood refresh you,
nor my flesh sustain your body.
Hissing ghoul with jagged backside,
long-fanged, vicious, wicked creature,
find a hillside in the forest,
hide amongst the tender willows,
slink into a stony hollow,
creep, black worm, into a burrow
and take my affliction with you,
carry off the pain I suffer
to those killing fields of battle,
to the very sites of warfare.
Cleanse the grievous wound you gave me,
rid my veins of this your venom.
Henceforth do not hasten thee hither,
never wend your winding way here,
be, foul thing, forever banished.
with this you can clean your hous between chrismas and the day of the three Kings, then you take 7 herbs and incense resins ( Thyme, Sage, Rosemay, Camphor, Mhyrr. Oliban, benzoin ) give it on some coal and clean every room in the haouse with the smoke, beginning from the front door......you may like to speak a prayer, but that depends on your choice, this ritual is known since the roman historian Tacitus, performed by ther germans and Kelts.
Hope this gives some help
Blessings out of my jul kettle

Re: Help - Prosperity magic
Sat, December 20, 2008 - 11:48 PMi would add to these ideas a bit of candle magick.
burn a green candle after setting your intention, and let it burn all the way down and out.
A lot of prosperity magick has to do with removing your internal blocks to abundance. The ritual aspects are so much more powerful when you are certain that you're not interfering with abundance with doubt or fear. As Wayne Dyer, suggests, allow yourself to feel as if you already have what it is you desire. You become one with it, rather than lust after it. Use the law of attraction to align yourself with the divine energies, and the formalize your intention with a ritual that you design.
Plants ruled by Saturn are useful in manifesting material gains, and Jupiter brings good fortune. I inscribe my prosperity candles with a sigil that combines the glyphs for both Jupiter and Saturn. Cunningham's book on Incense lists the planetary rulerships of herbs and resins.

Re: Help - Prosperity magic
Sun, December 21, 2008 - 10:19 AMI light a candle and ask for any and all obstacles to be removed, burned away, taken down so that the prosperity and abundance can flow freely; that any evil, harm, and negativity sent by enemies known and unknown, consciously or sub-conciously, intentional or un-intentional be cleansed; and that for the right job or something better to be sent to you.
gOOd luck. -

Re: Help - Prosperity magic
Mon, December 22, 2008 - 4:33 AMboth high john, and low john will help with money. But low john, is especially for $, where high john helps with success in all undertakings.
Low john, is also called 'beth' root. In the mountains you can find it- its Trillium. If you have a good size high john root, get a wood rasp, and rub the root over it to make fresh grated powder. add some to any ceremonial incense you get, especially "high john" cause usually, those incenses and such have no actual high john in them. a small teaspoons worth, will power 1/2 cup incense, it does have its own unique odor. And that is also how you can tell if there is any high john in any given product........ -

Re: Help - Prosperity magic
Tue, December 23, 2008 - 5:37 PMThank you for everyone's help. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do, but I've copied everyone's replies to my file to work on.
I expect I'll mostly work with candle and herb incense, because that's what I have the most of. I am hoping not to have to go shopping, because we are a bit snowed in here, but if I do, I'll just have to wait a short while.
Again, thanks to all who responded. -

Tue, December 23, 2008 - 6:09 PMi fold my money, with the crease toward the clerk or whatever i am paying, to symbolize that when i use money, it will return.
in african practice, we use sugar, honey, or molasses in baths for prosperity - 'to make life sweeter' for you. -

Re: Help - Prosperity magic
Fri, December 26, 2008 - 3:02 PMFor a nice bright coloured green, I've used spirulina with success. In fact the smell itself smells very green like a fern gully....hard to describe so i won't. Also it doesn't leave a burnt" smell like most ingredients do so you can add a nice amount i believe I've added about a tablespoon or two for a half cup of incense. Also Clovers esp 4-leaf clovers. -

Re: Help - Prosperity magic
Sat, January 31, 2009 - 3:29 PMHi and good luck to you. I use a candle called "witches purse" I by it at my local metaphysical store. It comes in pillars and votives (the votives are about $1.50) it is one of the most wonderful smelling candles I have ever come across. It works immediately! I used it the first time and in less than 48 hours I was given more hours at work. The next ime I used it I received and unexpected check for $685.00! The same thing happens when my friend (who own the store where I buy it uses it in her store) within minutes of lighting it in her prosperity corner people start coming in-buying- not looking! It has a wonderful little spell that comes with the candle- try to find it it's sooo worth it!
