This was a request from another posting. I do not want to post his copyrighted material except by way of a brief review. This book is stunningly beautiful... the whole book is meant to be a magical artifact. It is packed with weird herb lore. Love it. Really hard to find a copy.
Here is the condensed version of the Satyrios recipe with my notes:
This incense is formed into the shape of small phallic pastilles and burned on charcoal to bewitch a person with lust (MacM alert... here is a manly love incense)
four parts each powdered tobacco, oak, patchouli
three parts each balsam fir resin, ground hardwood charcoal
two parts each gum tragacanth, raw sugar, hyoscyamus (henbane) seed, and "Blood of Thine Own Heart"
pittance of natrum (I assume he means common salt and not natron aka washing soda)
add dark rum and blend, then shape into enchanted love weiners. Voila.

Tue, November 6, 2007 - 11:13 AMHA! I LOVE IT!!! In fact, I've often thought of doing something like this, too! Hell, you could even inscribe your beloved's name into it while it's still somewhat moist. So....how much did you pay for this book, now? I'm poor, but...I've TOTALLY got to get myself a copy, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 -

Tue, November 6, 2007 - 2:11 PMThe book is worth every penny. Current copies seem to be selling for between $250 and $500. eBay sometimes has one listed.
Love,
