I've been smapling a small amount of aleswood/agarwood
I've had for a few years
sitting in it's air tight jar with color sensitive glass
anyhow it is a Tsukigase, a nicer quality Agarwood
It has a musky smell almost like sandalwood
then it has a lighter note almost like violet leaves
it lingers both a sweet and pleasantry
I've also used the cheaper forms of this precious ingredient
it truly does not compare though....heh.....some is better than none
anyone tried anything better?

Thu, December 18, 2008 - 12:38 AMI always use Kyara, but only because i got a bigger amount a few years ago as a present, its the most valuable quality, I love it, its scent reminds me of the Japanese haiku:
Morning, Sun, Snow
even the crow elsewhise ugly
Is today beautifull!
